Fee earners get interrupted all day by clients asking where their matter is. Every call breaks billable work, and the answer is usually "nothing's changed yet," which the client can't see for themselves.
What I'd build
A client-facing matter tracker: a simple "where things are" page showing the current stage and what's next, updated in a click. The update goes out before the call comes in, so the phone stops ringing for status.

What I'd build
One onboarding flow: enquiry, ID and document capture, then a templated client-care letter out for e-sign. It lands in the case management system you already run, so nothing gets keyed twice.

A chase log that tracks who each matter is waiting on and nudges on a schedule, plus a line the client sees, so a delay outside your control reads as "we're on it," not silence.
