Fees and finance.
Prices are “from” where a treatment varies with the tooth, and fixed where it doesn’t. If something extra is needed, you’ll be told the fee before it starts.

What a check-up includes.
Forty minutes for a new patient, twenty for a routine visit. This is what happens in that time.
- A conversation first. What you want, what you’re worried about, what’s happened before. If you’re nervous, say so here.
- Every tooth checked and charted, with a note of what’s been done to it before.
- Gums measured at six points around each tooth. Gum disease is silent and this is how it’s caught.
- A mouth cancer screen of the lips, tongue, cheeks and throat. Two minutes, every visit.
- X-rays only if needed, usually two small ones every two years. Included in the fee.
- Photographs on the screen, so you can see what we see.
- A written plan with each item priced, emailed before you leave. Nothing on it is booked until you decide.
Questions about fees.
Is the fee guide the price I’ll actually pay?
Yes for anything with a fixed fee. For “from” prices the exact figure depends on the tooth, and it goes on your written plan before anything is booked. The plan is the price for six months.
Do I have to pay on the day?
Examinations and hygiene, yes. For a treatment plan we take a deposit when you book and the balance at the last visit, or you spread it on finance. We take cards, bank transfer and the finance plan; we don’t take cheques.
How does the 0% finance work?
Anything over £300 can be spread over 6 to 18 months at 0% APR through a regulated lender. You apply online at the desk, usually get an answer in minutes, and pay by direct debit. Longer terms with interest are available up to five years for implant and aligner cases. It’s subject to status and you must be over 18.
Is a membership plan cheaper than paying as I go?
For most people, slightly. Essentials at £14.50 a month is £174 a year and covers two exams and two hygiene visits, which would be £240 if paid separately. The visits also tend to happen, because they’re already paid for.
What if I’m not happy with a result?
Tell us. If a filling, bonding or a crown fails within twelve months and you’ve kept up your check-ups, we put it right without charge. Cosmetic work is signed off by you at a trial stage before it’s finished.
Do you see NHS patients?
No, the practice is fully private. If cost is a worry, say so at the first visit and we’ll plan the essentials first and the rest when it suits you.
