Don’t book online, ring. Slots are held back every morning and released at 10am if nobody needs them. Ring before then and you’ll usually be seen today; after that, first thing tomorrow. £85 including an X-ray, and you don’t need to be a patient here already.

The converted red-brick wharf building on the towpath side of Meadow Lane, with the coral door. Ten minutes on foot from the station, five from the Market Place.

Parking. Twelve free spaces behind the building, through the arch on the left. Two disabled bays by the door. If it’s full, the Meadow Lane car park is two minutes away and we’ll refund the first hour.
Step-free. Level from the car park to every surgery, wide doors, an accessible toilet, and a hearing loop at the desk.
Bikes and buses. A rack by the door. The 12 and the 127 stop on Meadow Lane, a minute’s walk.
